EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
Witness Primary School-Kyakosi proposes a 12-month project to provide care and education to 50 orphaned and poor children in Kyakosi, Mityana District. The project aims to provide access to quality primary education, promote social and emotional well-being, and empower students with skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in life.
BACKGROUND:
Uganda is one of the poorest countries in the world, with a population of over 45.85 million people. Many children in Uganda face challenges such as poverty, lack of access to education, and poor health.
PROJECT GOALS AND OBJECTIVES:
The project aims to achieve the following goals and objectives:
1. To provide access to quality primary education for 50 orphaned and poor children.
2. To promote the social and emotional well-being of the students.
3. To empower the students with skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in life.
PROJECT ACTIVITIES:
The project will undertake the following activities:
1. Recruitment and training of teachers
2. Provision of student meals and nutrition program
3. Procurement of school materials and supplies
4. Infrastructure development (classrooms, toilets, etc.)
