Hi! I'm Kimberly. I’m 30 (though I really just feel like two kids in a trench coat, or maybe one kid, since I'm short :P) and I'm from Georgia (the state!). I’m currently a student at my “big age” pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies focused on Leadership & Communication and Health & Community Welfare. When I’m not doing my coursework, I’m often reading, playing games, listening to music, watching something, or buying things I definitely didn’t need but also absolutely needed lol.
I’m looking for a long-term penpal to exchange regular emails with (weekly would be good, but I understand that life gets busy, so not a requirement!), but more than that, I'd love to find someone who eventually feels like a friend rather than just someone I’m exchanging emails with. I love exchanging long emails and getting to know people over time, and I like friendships where you can talk about anything, from deeper conversations to silly nonsense. I do tend to talk a lot about my interests (and if I love something, you will certainly hear about it lol), but I also like learning about other people's interests and hearing about their lives. You don't have to be into all the same things as me because we can always introduce each other to new stuff!
I’m open to hearing from people of any gender or from anywhere in the world. I do think I click a bit better with women and queer people (I’m bi and on the ace spectrum), but feel free to message me regardless as long as you can keep it respectful. Rather than a specific age range I want to hear from, I feel like I might prefer talking to people who are in a similar stage of life as me. Here are some of my interests:
* I’m a big K-pop girlie and have been for years. My current favorite group is XLOV, but I like other groups too, like Stray Kids, ZB1, TXT. I’m also a big fan of pop music in general. My favorite band outside of K-pop is The 1975.
* I love animation. My favorite shows are King of the Hill and South Park, but I’ll watch pretty much anything from adult animation to cartoons made for kids. Aside from cartoons, I like teen dramas, dark comedies, sitcoms, BL/GL series, and RuPaul’s Drag Race.
* I’m a fan of Disney/Pixar and Sanrio. Much to the dismay of my bank account, I collect merch of my favorite characters, Stitch and Cinnamoroll.
* I like to play video games, mainly on PS5, especially RPGs or life sims. A few faves: Bully, Dragon Age, Cyberpunk 2077, BG3, Coral Island, My Time at Sandrock. I'm looking forward to Grave Seasons and of course GTA 6!
* I like to read, and last year, I even read 100 books! I like queer romance, horror, contemporary literary fiction, thrillers, and fantasy.
* Some other stuff I’m into: Making characters out of fuse beads, doing building sets, diamond paintings. Also language learning recently! I'm still a beginner but have started learning Spanish. I also know a little bit of French from high school.
