Penpal message / wishes:
I'm 43 years old. I'm looking for long-term, genuine and profound connections with people who don't follow the crowd, dislike stereotypes and labels, disapprove of small talk, violence, superficiality, hypocrisy, vulgarity, intellectual arrogance, materialism, social media narcissism, gregarious behaviour and traditional gender roles, don't pretend to be someone they're not, are sensitive and empathetic, have a curious mind, are thirsty for knowledge and seek a higher sense, their own identity and path in life.
My interests are: music (film and video game soundtracks, alternative rock/metal, indie rock, gothic rock/metal, symphonic metal, progressive rock/metal, psychedelic/stoner rock, industrial rock/metal, doom/power/drone/rap/sludge metal, folk rock/metal, grunge, post-rock, experimental, neofolk, blues, neoclassical dark wave, cold wave, dark ambient, synthpop, dream pop, downtempo, chill-out, trip hop, classical, world), theatre, cinema, history of art, exhibitions, literature, neuroscience, theology, philosophy, transhumanism, psychology, artificial intelligence, astronomy and quantum physics.
I grew up with John Peel's BBC radio sessions and the MTV show Alternative Nation. Wonderful times!
I recommend the band Ghost to everyone. John 5 and Buckethead are awesome guitarists. Beth Hart is amazing. Jørn Lande is a great singer. Jeff Buckley and Eva Cassidy hold a special place in my heart. Steven Wilson is a thoughtful musician. Poets of the Fall are underrated. Nox Arcana is haunting. Ulver continue to surprise me.
I recommend the band Deafheaven to anyone who harasses me one way or the other.:-)
I currently explore the catalogue of Sargent House, a record label from Los Angeles. I declare Chelsea Wolfe my current favourite artist.
You can meet me in Bucharest at the Bon Jovi concert, the Rock the City Festival (lineup The Cure and God Is an Astronaut) and in Sibiu at the ARTmania Festival (lineup Dream Theater, Opeth, Architects, Alcest, Madrugada, Myrkur and Wardruna).
