Hi there, I'm looking for friends :)
I'm currently (and have been for the past few years) a university student, studying my masters in teaching english as a second language. I also have a masters degree in English, and a bachelors degree in sociology.
As that shows, I have a lot of interests, and have a hard time deciding what I want to do with my life, because I really don't want to settle down and do just one thing forever.
I'm the eternal 'mom friend', always looking out for people, and I'm happy to do it.
I love reading and writing, although I haven't had time to read any books recently, my to-read list is just getting longer and longer. I also love watching movies and binge-watching tv shows.
I love food, I've been cooking since I was tall enough to see over the stove, and I'm pretty awesome at cooking and baking, if I say so myself.
I absolutely love music, most genres, although my most listened to styles would be k-pop, EDM, hip-hop, and R&B, although I still am partial to the rock and metal I listened to when I was a teenager.
Some of my other interests are: swimming, dinosaur documentaries, sociology, intersectional feminism, art (in any form), poetry (reading and writing), DOGS - well all animals really, the ocean, Harry Potter, cheesy YA novels, nature documentaries, aesthetic boards on pinterest, unrealistic hospital tv shows, learning about other cultures, studio ghibli films, dolphins, and coffee.
As I'm currently studying to be an English teacher overseas, I'd love to talk to someone who is wanting to learn English or practice their English skills! I'd be down to learn a language from you too.
To be honest, I'm looking for penpals because I don't have that many friends at the moment, and I've been really lonely recently. I'm just at a stage in my life where it's hard to meet people and become friends, and even harder to maintain those friendships - plus, my sister met her best friend through a penpal website, so I am kind of hoping that might happen to me.
I consider myself an ambivert - sometimes I can be pretty introverted, but I can also be quite extroverted, it depends on the day, the people, and my mood!
I'm looking for: someone that enjoys the same interests as me, maybe recommend songs, tv shows, movies, books, food or other stuff to each other, that would be cool.
