Hobbies:literature, philosophy, history, discussions, documentaries, video games, hanging out with friends Penpal message / wishes: Greetings,
I am a 26 years old guy from Greece currently working as a teacher with a keen interest in literature and books in general.
I don't care about your gender, your nationality or your religious beliefs as long as you will not try to shove your belief system down my throat. All I am asking for are mutual respect, understanding and acceptance.
Thus said, I would like to know how it is to live on the other side of the globe and maybe even build a friendship, although this is something that takes time and effort from both sides. Deep and intellectual conversations are preferred, but small talk is fine too every now and then. If you think we have something in common, don't hesitate to send me an email. I am very interested in history, mythology, ancient cultures, philosophy, anthropology and anything in between. I really don't want to set any limits to possible conversation topics though, I am up for discussions of all kinds.
If we don't share any interests but you think you have something productive to say, you are also quite welcome to send me a message.
Should you take the time to respond, please tell me a few things about yourself, otherwise it's hard to start a conversation out of nowhere. Besides English, you can also write in German or Greek if you are able to speak any of these languages. Since my free time is limited and I have a life to live I am not here to chat or write on a daily basis, but I promise I will reply as soon as possible.
Here is a list of things I am NOT looking for:
-Very short and unproductive messages.
-People who replied to my ad but didn't bother reading what i wrote.
-People whose language skills are on a very low level (Sorry but if you can't speak at least good English, I can not sustain a conversation on my own)
Hobbies:Cinema, music, Tv shows, cooking-baking, traveling, handcrafting Penpal message / wishes: Hello! I'm Efi from Athens, Greece and I am looking for (female) snail mail penpals who are interested in a long-lasting friendship and really like exchanging letters ( I love it!). I have been snail mailing since I was a teenager and I find it fascinating! I would prefer native speakers of English as penpals, as I really want to practice my English as well.
I love listening to music ( indie, rock, pop/rock and jazz are my favourite genres). I also have a passion for cinema, especially European and Latin American and I have been involved a few times in co-directing short films (nothing special though haha). I also love cooking and baking especially working with sugar paste.
My dream is to travel all across the US, especially do a road trip there. I would also die to visit Patagonia and Antarctica.
I consider myself an introvert but I love meeting new people. I also enjoy building steady and strong relationships and have meaningful conversations. Small talk is also cool though :) I also find humour to be one of the most important traits :)
Open-mindedness ( in every possible sense) is one of the best qualities in people. I hate conservatism, so if you are conservative (homophobic, racist or whatever) do not contact me :) My dream as a penpal is to find someone with whom I could share my (even secret) thoughts, worries and have a very close connection, like two childhood friends. Someone I would really care about :). I would prefer to communicate with gay people, as I would feel more connected to them, I suppose. Lots of married straight people have already contacted me, but I feel that we are worlds apart. Perhaps I am wrong though.
I hope to meet a lot of interesting people here around my age (23-30). Cannot wait to hear from you!
P.S. I AM NOT interested in flirting/romance.I have been together with my soul mate three years now and I am not looking for romance, just pure friendship. Cheers!
Penpal message / wishes: Hi, my name is Mark, I'm 27 years old and I'm looking for natives English speakers, in order to improve my English skills and making some new friends as well. So, feel free to email me :)
Greek currently living in London. I am obviously looking for penpals. I'm starting university soon, plus I am already working, so working and studying at the same time means my social life will be really limited - so why not find a friend to chat/send e-mails with when I'm taking breaks from studying?
I won't describe myself here, but I don't have problem talking with anyone as long as your messages are not only two sentences long.
My hobbies, for the time being, include exploring London and taking advantage of the free time I have now in general.
Not really interested in snail mail unless we both agree to do so once we start sending e-mails to each other.
