Hello! My name is Zhang Yu. You can call me by my English name Evelyn or my Chinese nickname "Yu" (雨). I’m a 17-year-old girl from China.
I have a wide range of hobbies. I’m particularly passionate about Chinese culture and cultures around the world—and I’m also a big fan of delicious food from both China and other countries! There’s an old Chinese saying I really like: "民以食为天 (Mín yǐ shí wéi tiān)," which means "Food is the paramount necessity of the people." It shows how important food is in Chinese culture, and I think it’s true for people everywhere. I’d love to hear about the special foods and eating customs from your country too!
I’m eager to build a friendly relationship with you, where we can share more about our cultures, daily lives, and all the interesting little things that make our countries unique.
A quick note: I live at school on weekdays and don’t have access to communication devices, so I can only reply to emails on weekends. But I’ll definitely get back to you as soon as I can!
I’m looking forward to your reply and the start of our lovely exchange.

Hobbies:swiming reading Penpal message / wishes: My name is Shi Fangyao, a sixteen-year-old from Puyang, Henan province, China. I am presently seeking an online pen pal aged between sixteen and eighteen who shares a sincere curiosity about the wider world.Water and words are my two constant companions. At dawn I swim one thousand metres in the municipal pool, letting the rhythm of strokes clear the mind; by twilight I sit beneath the locust tree with books whose pages carry me farther than any lane could. My recent favourites include Yu Hua’s “To Live” and Hemingway’s “The Old Man and the Sea,” both of which remind me that endurance, whether in literature or in life, is quietly heroic. If you enjoy exchanging thoughtful letters—about daily routines, favourite verses, or the peculiar flavour of your hometown’s street food—please write to me at aaxb-2010@hotmail.com .
May our correspondence become a small, dependable light on each other’s horizon.
