My name is Joicy, I am currently 24 years old, and I am from Brazil, which means my native language is Portuguese 😉.
I have a lot of different passions, wishes and dreams, so to not spoil the magic, I will only talk briefly about some of them here.
I LOVE reading books, and I do appreciate a good manga (my favorite manga everrr is One Piece). Furthermore, I watch anime, movies, series, whatever I'm feeling like watching, really, no discrimination here!
I also enjoy listening to music, especially classic rock (mostly 80's songs), but I promise I'm not picky 🤞🏻. Besides, I do think it's fun to cook and try new recipes (and in my mind, I am pretty good on that! And people do say that to me u.u!).
Some time ago I realized how interesting it is to travel and know different places, people and cultures, so that's why I decided to give a try to this pen pals experience, because maybe this way I can have part of that even from home.
🔮 Some background and curiosities about me >> I live on a little farm right now, I was an intern at a government company while at College, and some years ago I got my degree in accounting. I worked a little while in auditing at KPMG after that, but I wasn't truly happy, and that's why I decided to try something completely different (because I do like to do some crazy things from time to time), so wish me luck in my new project 🤗. Besides that, I really appreciate spending some time studying, singing, playing board games with my friends, video games, volleyball, and painting, even though I'm not particularly good at any of that.

I'm a pretty optimistic person. I seek to see the positive side of the experiences I live, even if it is in the form of learning, mistakes that should not be repeated. I like to motivate people around me not to give up on their goals and show that it's worth trusting yourself. It will be a pleasure to listen to you and help you with what I can. The truth is we can evolve a lot with each other.
I know some people don't believe in virtual friendships, well, obviously I do. If I didn't believe, what would I be doing here? I have friends in the "real world", but the internet offers us the opportunity to meet people we wouldn't otherwise be able to, people from completely different backgrounds, and not taking advantage of that opportunity would be a tremendous waste. I want a friend so we can talk about everything, share life experiences, learn from each other, support each other, laugh together. I want loyal, transparent friendships, but above all, without pressure. We can walk at our own pace. It may take time, but I'm willing to pay the necessary price to make it happen, how about you?
I'm from Belo Horizonte, capital of the state of Minas Gerais. I don't know where you're from, but maybe Belo Horizonte seems huge to you. It is a very wooded city, with an interesting infrastructure. To be honest, among the capitals of Brazil, BH is known for being the city with the highest number of bars per capita. I don't drink alcohol, if that's the case for you, don't worry, the cuisine is rich and impeccable. We from Minas Gerais are nationally known for being great at the art of hospitality. We don't have beaches, but we have countless waterfalls. We also have one of the best universities in Latin America, top quality football stadiums, a growing technological hub, etc.
I really like reading about the history of other peoples, their cultural, economic and technological development. Seriously, I'm quite curious, I'm as interested in knowing more about small countries like Andorra, Cyprus, Montenegro, as I am interested in knowing more about the United States, Russia, Japan. Maybe you're from a less "mainstream" nation, but chances are I've already read something about your country and maybe even heard some bands. Seriously, I accept the challenge.
In 2023, I plan to adopt digital nomadism as a lifestyle. I want to travel a lot, visit all continents and satisfy all my desire to see the world with my own eyes. The following idea seems interesting to me: for every country I'll visit, I'll buy a book by a local author, or a musical album by an influential band in the region.
I am completely passionate about music. I always have my headphones on. I love enjoying a good record track by track, enjoying the classics, and also listening to new artists who are still chasing stardom. The truth is that the song being good, having quality, I appreciate it without the slightest problem, no matter the musical genre, Rock n Roll, Reggae, R&B, Bossa Nova, or any other, I really don't limit myself to that. Piano is my favorite instrument, but guitar solos always win me over. A fun fact: I have over 30 playlists on Spotify, each in a different language.
Finally, I am also interested in entrepreneurship, personal development, financial investments, language studies, classical ballet, and countless other things.
